| Making New Friends |

gah!! it's too much reading four fics at the same time!! I have one in each phone, one in my home computer and one at work. I guess I should really try and finish a story before I start a new one. But then someone posts something like THIS and I can't not read it right away! :P I do love me some high-school stories *g*
And since I'm already making an entry, I figured I should put something else in it instead of making another one and be a spammer.
I was thinking about filtering this so that the people involved wouldn't be able to see it because it's a bit embarrassing but what the hell! I don't like filtering people out :P (I'll try to keep this brief)
So y'all know I live in Iceland, which is a fairly small country, especially when it comes to the population (ca. 320.000). And I'm 27 years old and I'm done with school (for now) and I've been at the same job for over 6 years where I only work with much older people. So the prospects of making good new friends wasn't very good.
BUT, then something awesome happened! ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) hildigunnur and sarka took it upon themselves to throw a party on January 2nd this year and invite all their Icelandic LJ friends. And they told their friends that they could bring other LJ friends with them. Awesome idea!! I've known both of them for years now but only met them in person like once or twice before the party.
I think something around 12 people showed up at the party (can't remember exactly) and I had only a few of them on my friendslist before. So it was also bunch of girls I'd never met. And then there were even two girls (kalldoro and vampyran) there who had been on my flist a while ago but I'd unfriended them a couple of years before. So that was kinda awkward and I was totally worried about meeting them again. lol.
But the party was AWESOME and we had SO much fun! I dragged deppo with me because I was too shy to go alone. She had much fun. Almost all of the girls there are into fandom, slash and/or Supernatural. We are all such kindred spirits. We get each other. We understand! And there's no topic off-limits!
Since then, there have been numerous parties and get-togethers. We are all awesome friends now and I we love to meet up. Suddenly I have this huge new friendsgroup of awesome people!
I can't tell you girls how amazing it is to know you all and I care about you so much. I love spending time with you and I can't get enough of it :D
And just to name you all... felisblanco (and mr_felis too!), hildigunnur, vampyran, kalldoro, sarahblack, sarka, deppo, dangerous_47, lokrur, strawberrytatoo, verav, daybright and our newest member sigrundora ♥ ♥ ♥
Last December, I only would have invited one person from that group to my birthday. Next December, you are ALL invited!! :D |

I had so much fun sharing music finally again yesterday that I thought I might do another one :)
This one might seem very random but it's just one of those songs that always gets you moving to the beat and groove. It's a funky song that never gets old. Give it a try if you don't know it already!

I've been watching some LA Ink today, getting more and more psyched about getting a new tattoo on Tuesday! I've got it all planned now but I'm not sharing ;-) I want it to be a surprise and you'll all see the pictures when it's done :P
It's been over a years since I got my last tattoo and that's just too long! Every fiber in my body is craving for that pain. For that high. I can't wait to feel the needle in me! It's like a drug or something. Wow. And I can't wait to finally smell fresh ink again :P Do you know what I mean? I love the smell of new tattoos. And the smell lasts for a few days. I always love that smell. Couldn't really smell it last time since the tattoo was on my back. I'm not that flexible! ;-) |

I love it when I have ALL of my music on random in Winamp and then suddenly some song comes on that I don't remember ever hearing before or have a clue where I got the song from :D
Yesterday that happened and I am completely in LOVE! ♥

OH! hildigunnur! You need to give me the recipe of that yummy chocolaty thingy you had in the bowls at your birthday party! I'm assuming it was something home-made, right? And hopefully something super simple and I'll have all the ingredients right here at home ;-)

I want so badly to make a post about all the things that annoy me out of the things I see on my friendspage but I'm too afraid I'd get unfriended by a bunch of people.
Seriously, if I don't like something you talk about, it doesn't really mean I don't like YOU!
But I still feel like people might take it personally *sigh* So I just keep it to myself and hope it will go away.
Anyways, I hate it when I see a comment in someone elses journal made by someone I don't know and it just pushes my buttons so badly. And I SO want to just tell the person that I almost hate them for what they said or that their opinion is WRONG but I don't say anything because I don't want to start something in a mutual friends journal. I just need to learn how to take deep breaths and let it go. I don't need to be that person who goes on about how someone on the Internets is WRONG and I must set them right! *snort*
But seriously, some people are just WRONG *glares at them*
Oh and totally unrelated... some Big Bang stories are SO unappealing to me. And some people really need to write better summaries. SELL your story to me dude!! And faster readers than me need to start with the BB recs because I'm not sure I trust some of these summaries or the writers. I need someone to tell me if a story is worth reading. Especially if the summary is crap and in case I might end up not reading something awesome because I totally judged it by the typo in the summary or the horribly crappy art. People, this is totally serious business here! *g* |
